Programmes in Accessibility and Inclusive Design
Description:
The University of Salford, in the UK has three programmes primarily delivered through distance learning. Organized by SURFACE, a Centre of Excellence at Salford, the programmes are a response to the UK Disability Discrimination Act.
The programme provides a choice between the Postgraduate Certificate (60 credits), the Postgraduate Diploma (120 credits) and the Masters degree (180 credits). It is offered over two years distance learning, including dissertation. The Pg Cert would provide a stepping off point after 10 months, the Pg Dip another step off point after 18 months, which represents the completion of the taught modules. Students wanting to study for the Masters degree would then continue by undertaking a
dissertation in their final 6 months of study.
